Resinates

Resinates

Resinates are metal salts of resin acids (e.g., abietic acid) used primarily as paint driers, in ink formulation, coatings, and waterproofing. Key types include calcium, zinc, cobalt, and manganese resinate, which improve coating hardness, gloss, and adhesion. They are generally insoluble in water and can be flammable, posing fire risks during handling.
